Aeronautics expert and SDF MP, Joshua Osih says we must close the national airline of Cameroon. Camair-Co, the only National airline serving as flagship of the State, has been struggling to take off. As it continues to undergo restructuring, many politicians among them the deputy of the Social Democratic Front, Joshua Osih, believe that the company should be dissolved entirely.
Le Jour on its edition of 20th of April 2016, reveal that Osih Joshua said, ” The National carrier must be closed. In responds to a question about what he has to say about Camair-Co, The MP said,” I have so much to say about Camair-Co and I do not want us to feel that I have a problem with Camair-Co. I have nothing to complain about”.
”The Social Democratic Front (SDF) has already demanded a parliamentary inquiry request on the payment of retro commissions on the purchase of two MA60 aircraft at a price twice the cost. So far, investigations has not yet succeeded and we continue to question the final destination of more than 20 billion CFA francs the difference of this operation,” says le jour.
On this MA60 aircraft saga, Experts have subjected that the Government will not take the risk of expose this dubious act for fear of Chinese cooperation and grants for the financing of infrastructure construction will be jeopardise. “Cameroon does not want to rock on the boat not to be placed on the black list of Exim Bank,” concluded MP SDF Osih Joshua.
