The former minister for transport of Cameroon, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo’o who has been barred from leaving the country is expected at the Kondengui maximum security prison of Yaounde tomorrow Monday.

According to our sources who reported the information, the former minister of defense and several CEOs of parastatals pinned by the superior control of the state of Cameroon should join the famous names in the penitentiary early next week.

A few days before the former Minister of Defense ( Allain Mebe Ngo’o) was dismissed from the Biya lead government,he had been arrested by a Consupe mission chief on the use of a sum of 200 million CFA francs.

French daily Cameroon web and Lecourrierducameroun have also report that Mebe Ngo’o was heard by the Special Criminal Court on 23th March 2018 for embezzlement of public assets.
It must be said that the former minister is the subject of several legal proceedings both in Cameroon and abroad.

In July 2017, the French newspaper Le Point revealed that Edgar Mebe Ngo’o was targeted by a French justice investigation for a case of corruption in the sale of military equipment and equipment to the Cameroonian army while he was at the ministry of the defense.

Since his dismissal from the government last March 2, indiscretions had been speculating his upcoming arrest along with his former colleague the minister for Water and Energy, Basile Atangana Kouna who was arrested last Thursday in Nigeria and taken to Yaoundé Central Prison while trying to evade the Cameroonian justice.
