Mr. Biya has suffered more casualties with the deaths of many young soldiers; some Anglophones and others Francophones in a senseless war where innocent civilians have been killed, many more turned into refugees in neighbouring Nigeria , yet Mr. Biya keeps claiming victory even while fighting invisible and invincible humans in a simple matter that would have long ended on an unkempt and bedraggled table somewhere in Bamenda more than a year ago.

From Mamfe, you would pass through Besongabang, Nchang, Mfuni just before arriving Kembong the direction from which the attackers came from was unexpected.

Meanwhile, tension moved to Mamfe and the town was forced to go into a natural shutdown with everyone running indoors. The Senior Divisional Officer for Manyu, Oum II Joseph is said to have escaped from his office at about 2:36PM as he was led to a safe haven by 4 Gendarmes and 2 soldiers who guard his office. Even the SDO’s office was closed before normal closing time, our source said. In the meantime, reports of 70% drop in Mamfe’s population is no exaggeration as many denizens have fled the town to new oases.
